Graduate Student

Asra Aghaei is a Ph.D. student specializing in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Systems Optimization. Her research delves into data-driven decision models, machine learning, and causal learning, with notable contributions to medical and energy systems. Her current projects focus on innovating fault detection mechanisms within energy systems via the application of causal learning algorithms, work that is crucial for enhancing the reliability and efficiency of energy infrastructure.

Furthermore, Aghaei is probing the effects of causal learning in medical settings, specifically its impact on understanding and managing Major Adverse Cardiac Events (MACE).
