Current Positions

We currently have two funded phd openings for highly motivated students: 1st position will be focused on understanding of microwave selective materials heating through integrated experimental investigation and computational modeling; 2nd position will be focused on developing a universal testing process to understand semiconductor materials’ response to high temperature and high intensity plasma. Students with a solid background in laser/microwave material processing, additive manufacturing, nanomanufacturing, materials science, heat transfer, graphene nanocomposite and areas related to nanotechnology are welcome to contact Prof. Qiong Nian ([email protected]). Postdoctoral researchers and visiting students are welcome to contact Prof. Qiong Nian any time, funding support will be case by case.

Undergraduate students are always welcome to join our group, please contact Prof. Qiong Nian for scholarships, e.g., FURI, ASU/NASA Space Grant, and KEEN Student Grants. Middle/high school students are also welcome to contact us for research opportunities.
