Electrochemical Conversion of Biogas

Trace concentrations of siloxane gas is present in biogas generated from anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge in Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTPs). Siloxane electrochemical conversion and resulting silicon deposition presents a challenge for direct use of biogas in Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs).
