Sanchari Sen
Research Associate
Southwest Advanced Prototyping (SWAP) Hub
Sanchari got her PhD from TTU in Physics with focus in nanotechnology and optics. After graduation she worked at Intel for 8 years with focus on- next Gen packaging, sample prep for post Si debug and metrology to aid physical debug of Intel’s leading products. As a Probe Technical Development Lead her focus was on, IREM, Lock in Thermography, X-ray and E-Beam based novel probing techniques.

Md Ashiqur Rahman Laskar

Ashiq obtained his Master’s degree from South Dakota State University (SDSU), USA in 2020. Prior to that he completed his bachelor’s degree (2015) in Aeronautical Engineering from Bangladesh.His present research focuses on semiconductor materials and memory device characterization. Outside of the lab, he loves travelling.

Srijan Chakrabarti
Graduate Student in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.)

Srijan obtained his Bachelor in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from KIIT University (2020). His research focuses on 2D materials and in the rapid screening of material quality and correlation with device’s performance. Outside of the lab he is a music enthusiast, loves listening to blues and classic rock. He also plays table tennis.

Sakib Ahmed
School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering
Sakib completed his bachelor’s degree (2019) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh. His present research focuses on semiconductor materials and thin dielectric characterization using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). Outside of the lab, he loves playing indoor and outdoor sports, hiking, and travelling.

Md Jayed Hossain
Graduate Student in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.) School of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering
Jayed earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 2023. His current research focuses on characterizing 2D materials using Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and measuring their sheet resistance and resistivity through sub-micro four-point probing. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing various sports, watching soccer, and traveling.

Filippo Ozino Caligaris
Graduate Student in Electrical Engineering (M.Sc.) School of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering
Filippo earned his Master’s degree in Nanotechnologies for ICTs from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, after completing his Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from the same institution. His current research focuses on device fabrication and characterization. Outside the lab, he enjoys reading, and practicing outdoor activities.

Pranav Kumar Selva Kumar
Graduate Student in Computer Engineering (M.Sc.) School of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering
Pranav earned his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, India. He is currently working on COMSOL Multiphysics simulations related to 3D materials using RF and optics packages, focusing on analyzing electromagnetic interactions. His broader interests include computational modeling, machine learning, and image processing, particularly in applications related to materials characterization. Outside the lab, he enjoys photography, video editing, and exploring emerging technologies in AI and hardware design.

José-Manuel Tapia-Cáceres
Graduate Student in Computer Engineering (M.Sc.) School of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering
José-Manuel Tapia-Cáceres earned his Master’s degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from Universidad Austral de Chile in 2024, after completing a B.Sc. in Physics in 2020. His work focuses on lithium-ion batteries and nanoscale materials characterization—morphological, crystallographic, and electrochemical. Before joining the ECEE PhD program at ASU, he worked for an engineering firm implementing electron microscopy techniques for REE analysis in tailings and contributed to FIB-based TEM lamella fabrication at an advanced microscopy unit.

Mubin Md Al Furkan
Graduate Student in the Department of Physics
Mubin completed his B.Sc. (2019) and M.S. (2022) degrees in Physics from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Physics. His research primarily focuses on computational physics. He enjoys teaching physics. In his leisure time, he likes gaming, reading non-fiction, and writing poetry.

Lakshmi Sowjanya Vendra

Lakshmi Sowjanya Vendra is an M.S. student in Computer Engineering at Arizona State University, passionate about embedded systems, firmware and hardware-software integration. She loves building innovative IoT and semiconductor projects, turning complex ideas into working prototypes, and thrives at the intersection of hardware, software, and real-world problem-solving.

Nihal Solur Gangadharaiah
School for Engineering of Matter, Transport and Energy
Nihal earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, India (2020), and is pursuing a master’s in Materials Science and Engineering. His academic focus is on semiconductor materials, device physics, and nanoscale material characterization techniques, with an interest in advancing next-generation electronic and optoelectronic devices. He enjoys swimming and table tennis outside his studies.

Naznin Akther
Graduate Student in Computer Engineering (M.Sc.) School of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering
Naznin Akther completed her bachelor’s degree (2017) and master’s degree (2023) in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh. She is pursuing her 2nd MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. Currently, she is focusing on the finite element modeling of probe characterization for Scanning Microwave Impedance Microscopy (sMIM). Her other interests include machine learning and RF microstrip design and application.

Onkar Vachista Falle

Onkar is a graduate candidate in Robotics and Autonomous Systems, with a specialization in Artificial Intelligence, at Arizona State University. His core interests lie in Extended Reality (XR), advanced AI methodologies, and seamless system-level integration. His research focuses on developing intelligent, autonomous agents and constructing robust software solutions, driven by a commitment to rapidly transforming theoretical concepts into functional prototypes that solve complex, real-world challenges at the interface of physical and digital systems.

Arsha Jindal
Graduate Student in M.S. in Computer Science
I have earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science in December 2022 and am currently pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science. My research interests center on extended reality (XR) and artificial intelligence, with a focus on AR interfaces and machine-learning methods that enhance interactive systems and data-driven decision making. Beyond academics and engineering, I love discovering new locations and traveling.
