David Le

David is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Machine Intelligence in Medical Imaging (MI2) Lab, Mayo Clinic, AZ. He earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he focused on developing digital biomarkers for the early detection of retinopathies using ophthalmic imaging modalities such as OCT and OCTA. Prior to joining Mayo Clinic, he worked closely with ophthalmologists and clinicians to apply deep learning techniques for disease classification, image segmentation, and automated biomarker extraction. At the MI2 Lab, his current work involves predicting health outcomes by integrating clinical data with radiology imaging modalities, aiming to advance diagnostic and prognostic capabilities across a range of medical applications.
