Taylor Pennington

Taylor completed her BSE and MS through the Biomedical Engineering 4+1 program at Barrett, the Honors College at ASU. During that time, her research involved using mass spectrometry-based metabolomics to identify characteristic VOCs of drug metabolism in the gut microbiome with applications for personalized diagnostics. As a PhD student in Dr. Madeline Andrews’ lab, she is studying how metabolic programs correspond to neural cell health and degeneration in Alzheimer’s Disease. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, yoga, being outdoors, and listening to podcasts and all kinds of rock music!
