Ammar Mehdi

Undergraduate Student

Ammar is an undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a specific focus on the development of biological devices. He currently works as an instructional aide, providing assistance to junior-level undergraduate students in their studies of molecular and cellular biology laboratory methods. As part of his research in Dr. Andrews’ lab, he is currently investigating the metabolic programs employed by neural cell types and the impact on neurodevelopment. In his personal time, Ammar enjoys weightlifting and spending time with his family.
