Kaila Gemenes

PhD Student

Kaila completed her B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology with minors in Chemistry and Computing Applications at SFSU. She continued her scientific training through the postbac program at UCSF in Dr. Arnold Kriegstein’s Lab. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Neuroscience program at ASU. In the Andrews’ lab, she is using bioinformatic approaches and organoid models to study neurodevelopment and diseases. When not in the lab or classroom, she’s listening to BTS, spending time with family, or trying a new restaurant!
