About GEGIL
Geosystems Engineering for Global Impact Laboratory (GEGIL) is a multidisciplinary research lab in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) at ASU.
Led by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamed Khodadadi Tirkolaei, we work on developing innovative, nature-inspired, and eco-friendly solutions to address emerging global challenges through a geotechnical perspective.
Our research focus areas include biocementation and biomineralization techniques, biopolymer usage for soil stabilization, and waste plastic upcycling for foundation systems.
