ASU Cyber & Network Security Group (CNSG)

Welcome to the official website of the Cyber & Network Security Group (CNSG) at Arizona State University.

Led by Dr. Yanchao Zhang, CNSG conducts cutting-edge fundamental and experimental research on security and privacy issues in computer and networked systems. Our current focus areas encompass a diverse array of topics, including FutureG wireless networks, AI and ML, dynamic spectrum sharing, mobile crowdsourcing and sensing, Internet-of-Things, social networking and computing, wireless/mobile systems for individuals with disabilities, wearable computing, cloud and edge computing, big data analytics, and wireless/mobile health. We owe our progress and achievements to the generous support from esteemed funding agencies, including the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF), Army Research Laboratory/Office (ARL/ARO), and Department of Defense (DoD). Please feel free to explore our website to discover more about our team members, ongoing projects, past accomplishments, and the publications we have produced.

CNSG actively welcomes driven and self-motivated Ph.D. candidates who possess a fervent commitment to advancing research. Enrollment options are open for both the Spring and Fall semesters. As a part of CNSG, you will have the chance to pursue your Ph.D. within the EE or CE program in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering (ECEE), or the CE or CS program in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence (SCAI). We also extend a warm invitation to visiting scholars and students whose research interests align with ours and who exhibit strong backgrounds in their respective fields. For any inquiries or applications, kindly direct them, along with a PDF-formatted CV, to Dr. Yanchao Zhang at [email protected]. We are enthusiastic about the prospect of collaborating with exceptional individuals like yourself and collectively contributing to the dynamic realm of cyber and network security.
