Postdoc and PhD Positions

Professor Yanchao Zhang’s Cyber and Network Security Group (CNSG) at Arizona State University invites applications for multiple postdoctoral and Ph.D. positions in the field of cybersecurity and privacy within future-generation wireless networks. These positions are affiliated with the newly established Department of Defense Center of Excellence (COE) in Future Generation Wireless Technology (FutureG) at Arizona State University, with Professor Yanchao Zhang serving as the Principal Investigator and Director. Our research spans various system contexts, including millimeter and terahertz wave technologies, reconfigurable intelligence surfaces, dynamic spectrum sharing, IoT, cyber-physical systems, AI-driven wireless/mobile security, and more, broadly defined under the FutureG initiative.

Postdoctoral Positions

Postdoctoral researchers will have ample opportunities for collaboration with multidisciplinary researchers within the COE and Army Research Laboratory (ARL), encompassing the entire spectrum of FutureG protocols. Requirements for the postdoctoral positions include (1) a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or nearing completion) and (2) a strong publication record in major conferences and high-impact journals in areas such as cybersecurity, wireless networking, wireless/mobile sensing, or related fields.

Ph.D. Applicants

We actively encourage motivated Ph.D. applicants who are dedicated to advancing research. Enrollment options are available for both the Spring and Fall semesters within the Electrical/Computer Engineering Ph.D. program in the School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering or the Computer Science/Engineering Ph.D. program in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence.
