Sharing our recent article in IEEE Power Electronics Magazine Issue 2 • June 2024. “1.2 kV/400 A SiC Source Turn-Off MOSFET Intelligent Power Module”. A compact current and temperature monitoring solution is achieved by utilizing the internal integrated sensors of the STO MOSFET.

06/2024: PEEC paper published in Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics
Glad to share our latest paper “Characterizations of Partial Discharge in Modern Power Electronics” in the IEEE J. of Emerging and Selected Topics in Power Electronics. https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/10568122 We will continue investigating the PD behaviors under PWM and grid frequency plus the switching frequency situations for medium voltage power electronics. A 100 kV PD test platform is under set up at PEEC lab ASU. Welcome to talk about the research and collaborations.

02/2024: Invited talk at 2024 Power Magnetics @ High-Frequency Workshop (APEC)
Dr. Zhicheng Guo was invited to give a talk about the Characterization of Partial Discharges in High-frequency transformers under PWM Pulses. It is about the partial discharge behaviors in modern power electronics components and systems. The information also contributes to one part of the IEEE P3105 (Recommended Practice for Design and Integration of Solid-State Transformers in Electric Grid) we are working on.

01/2024: PEEC Lab is launched by Dr. Zhicheng Guo
