ATCC-recommended addition of 0.05 mM 2-mercaptoethanol is not considered necessary by all labs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Passaging conditions:<\/strong>\u00a0Change\/add medium as necessary to maintain pH, keeping cells between 200,000 and 800,000 cells per mL. Do not culture for more than 40-60 days from a single culture.<\/em><\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-alert alert is-style-alert-success\"><div class=\"alert-icon\"><span class=\"fas fa-bell\"><\/span><\/div><div class=\"alert-content\"><div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cells can be differentiated to adherent macrophages by treating with 1-100 nM PMA for 18-36 hours on the final culture substrate. Do not try to trypsinize\/scrape and transfer cells after differentiation.
