Firas Al-Hindawi

Ph.D. student, Data Science, Analytics and Engineering

Firas is a Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering Ph.D. student in the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence at Arizona State University. His research interests include machine learning, deep learning, Computer Vision and Unsupervised Image-to-Image Translation.

Previous to starting his Ph.D, Firas was granted the Fulbright Scholarship to pursue his master studies in the US, where he obtained an MS degree in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University in 2021. His MS thesis was focused on introducing deep learning strategies to enable the detection of critical heat flux (CHF) in pool boiling experimental images. Firas also holds a B.Sc degree in Industrial Engineering from The University of Jordan.
