Leveraging experience in polymer synthesis, processing, and characterization, we work to translate innovative design concepts into feasible materials solutions with advanced functions and performance for next-generation engineering technologies, such as water purification, direct air capture, environmental remediation, and others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our lab is in the Biodesign Center for Sustainable Macromolecular Materials and Manufacturing (SM3), providing access to state-of-the-art instrumentation and creating opportunities for impactful collaborations. The Self Lab is further affiliated with the Center for Negative Carbon Emission (CNCE), the Global Center for Water Technology (GCWT), the ASU BioMimicry Center, and the School for Molecular Sciences (SMS).
