Previously, he earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and a B.S. in Chemistry at the University of Texas (2016) where he conducted undergraduate research in the lab of Prof. C. Grant Willson. He went on to earn a Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara (2021) under the supervision of Prof. Chris Bates and Prof. Javier Read de Alaniz.
