Certification: Participants receive a certificate upon successful course completion.

Course Overview:

Exposure to hot and humid environments in the workplace can lead to severe illness or even fatalities if workers cannot maintain a safe body temperature.

This training is designed to help both supervisors and employees recognize the risks of heat exposure, identify hazardous environments, understand early warning signs of heat illness, and implement effective mitigation strategies.

The Susan Harwood Workplace Safety and Health Training Program

Renamed in honor of the late Susan Harwood, a former director at OSHA’s Health Standards Directorate, this program has played a crucial role in developing standards to protect workers from hazardous workplace exposures, including heat stress, bloodborne pathogens, asbestos, lead, and more.
