Xiaoyang Liu is a second-year physics Ph.D. student. He finished his first-year lab rotation and decided to join MBE Optoelectronics Lab. He received his M.S. degree in condensed matter physics from Brown University and a B.S. degree in astrophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China. His previous work included 2-D material synthesis, topological insulator modeling, quantum fluctuation in superconductors, and big-data astrophysics. His current research interests are solar cells, MBE growth, and simulation of semiconductor devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-2\">Welcome Xiaoyang.
