14 Years Ago, a Senior Design Team Soared to New Heights

Fourteen years ago, a senior design team was on the cutting edge of innovation. Guided by Professor Zhang, they unveiled a groundbreaking GPS-guided, remote-controlled, solar-powered model airplane. The aircraft featured advanced functionalities such as solar-powered flight, self-homing capabilities, and autonomous cruising—technologies that were well ahead of their time, outpacing today’s drones by over a decade.
