Group Attends the 52nd IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (PVSC 52)

Prof. Yong-Hang Zhang, Dr. Zheng Ju, Xin Qi, and Nathan Rosenblatt made significant contributions at the 52nd IEEE Photovoltaic Specialists Conference (PVSC 52), held from June 9 to 15.

Dr. Zheng Ju captivated the audience with his presentation on “Monocrystalline CdSexTe1-x/MgyCd1-yTe Double-Heterostructure Solar Cells Grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy.” Nathan Rosenblatt’s insightful talk on “Performance Impacts of Band Tails on Cd(Se)Te Solar Cells” drew considerable attention.

Xin Qi had a notable presence, delivering an oral presentation titled “Solar Cells Made of n-type CdTe/MgCdTe Double-Heterostructure and an n-type ITO as Transparent Hole Selective Contact.” Additionally, his poster, “Novel Epitaxial Lift-off Techniques for Flexible CdTe/MgCdTe Double-Heterostructure Thin-Film Solar Cells,” was nominated for the best poster award, showcasing innovative advancements in the field.

Moreover, Xin Qi was selected as a Graduate Student Assistant (GSA) and collaborated with 21 other GSAs to facilitate the smooth running of the conference.

These outstanding presentations and contributions highlight the impactful research and advancements being made by Prof. Zhang’s team in the field of photovoltaic technology.
