Antibiotic resistant bacteria (ARB) and genes (ARGs) occur widely in water and wastewater environments and are thought to contribute to the existence of “hot spots” for horizontal gene transfer. However, a consensus regarding how to assess and manage potential human health risks in waterborne environments has not been reached. We are developing computational approaches to address these gaps.

We are developing an open-access database for this project. You can access in-progress files from this project on our Open Science Framework site.
