My undergraduate work focused on the doping of high-density scintillating glass with rare-earth ions for various particle detector applications such as X-ray machines, neutron detectors for homeland security, and hadron therapy. I also participated in the Physics REU program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where my work focused on the synthesis of novel 2D materials. Since joining the Defect Lab in August of 2019, I have worked on using electrochemical capacitance voltammetry (ECV) to measure carrier concentration profiles on doped silicon wafers. I am currently investigating low-temperature metal contacts for sensitive devices, such as perovskite solar cells.
