In the final years of his undergraduate he helped with research and senior design projects focused on enchaining current photovoltaic systems with novel cloud tracking technology. After graduating, Nicholas joined the Exolith lab out of UCF as a simulant research engineer, working on systems for extracting oxygen from lunar simulant. Nicholas joined the defect lab in 2022 starting his Ph.D in materials sciences engineering.
