Maia Maia

Maia joined the Defect Lab in 2021. Her work spans the mechanical properties of textile fibers—particularly clean sheets—as well as applied lawn dynamics, with a focus on optimal splooting conditions across high-quality grassy terrains. Her research has led to multiple groundbreaking publications. At the Defect Lab, Maia plays a vital operational role, overseeing relaxation protocols and advanced treat acquisition strategies, including direct interface with human catering services via persistent door pawing. She maintains an open-door policy for collaborators, provided they adhere to her strict “endless treats” requirement. Maia is currently engaged in an ongoing dispute with an autonomous vacuum system, the details of which remain under active investigation.
