We work on many diverse problems including Aircraft Design, Applied Aerodynamics, Aircraft Performance, Aviation Safety and Aerospace Policy.<\/p>\r\n<p>Professor Takahashi&#8217;s graduate students have a solid industrial track record. Recent graduates have been recruited to work at Wright Patterson AFB, Eglin AFB, the NASA\/Ames Research Center, the NASA\/Langley Research Center, Honeywell Aerospace, the Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, Raytheon Missile Systems, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman (ex Orbital Sciences).<\/p>\r\n<p>Professor Takahashi also teaches senior undergraduate capstone design. Our fixed-wing aeronautics students are widely recruited by both regional and national employers including Honeywell, Raytheon, Textron, Lockheed Martin and Boeing.<\/p>\r\n<p>Professor Takahashi also coaches the ASU Air Devils AIAA\/DBF Team. We custom build RC aircraft to compete in the international AIAA Design Build Fly competition. He teaches classes in aircraft performance, aerodynamics, aerospace structures and materials and engineering profession. During the school year, he coordinates senior undergraduate capstone projects in fixed wing aircraft design. Over the summer, he has been involved in many aerospace projects sponsored by the USAF, the RCAF and private sector entities.<\/p>\r\n<p>Prior to joining ASU he worked at NASA\/Ames, Lockheed-Martin, Raytheon and Northrop-Grumman. He is an Associate Fellow of the AIAA, advisor for the AIAA @ ASU student chapter, a member of the AIAA Aircraft Design Technical Committee, the AIAA History Technical Committee.
