Fabiha Firoz

Master's Student

Fabiha completed her bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering with a minor in Mathematics at Arizona State University. She is pursuing her master’s degree in biomedical engineering. During her undergraduate program, she conducted research in Dr. Stephen Helms Tillery’s Sensorimotor Research lab. She completed an honors thesis for Barrett, The Honors College, studying the effects of a mirrored presence of self on reaction time. In this project, she also evaluated if this reflection presence would result in neural summation in the brain. After receiving her B.S., she worked for a year as a Brainlab Clinical Specialist, assisting neurosurgeons with Brainlab’s surgical mapping system. In Dr. Madeline Andrews’ Lab, she is interested in investigating the interactions between oxygen availability and cellular metabolism in neural cell cultures. Her hobbies include listening to music, doing digital art, and watching true crime documentaries.
